General
General questions we get a lot.
These cover who we’re a good fit for, how we work, and what it’s like to partner with us as a small business.
Are you a fit for very small businesses or solo owners? +
Yes. Most of our clients are owner-led businesses with small teams, sometimes just the owner and a few staff or crews.
We design plans around your reality: limited time, limited budget, and the need to see real results—not just “brand awareness.”

Do you only work with trades, retail, and local professional services? +
That’s our sweet spot, but it’s not a hard rule.
If you’re a local business that relies on customers in a specific area (not a national e-commerce brand), there’s a good chance we can help you too.

Do I need to understand marketing or AI to work with you? +
No. That’s our job.
We explain what we’re doing and why in plain English. You don’t have to learn tools, dashboards, or AI jargon. You just need to tell us about your business, your customers, and your goals.

Will I be working with a real person or just a bunch of software? +
You’ll work with real humans who use good tools (including AI) to move faster and save you time.
Software helps us do the busywork; humans handle strategy, quality, and anything your brand name goes on.

Money & results
What about budget and results?
Straight talk about how fast things work, what you’ll invest, and how we handle contracts and ad spend.
How long does it take to see results? +
It depends on what we’re doing:
Paid ads (like Google Ads) can start generating leads within days of launch, and we usually refine performance over the first 4–8 weeks.
SEO and local search are slower but powerful over time—think 3–6+ months for noticeable movement, depending on your market and how competitive things are.
We’ll be honest about what’s realistic before we start.

What kind of budget do I need to work with you? +
Most clients invest:
We’ll recommend a level that makes sense for your current size and goals. If we don’t think it will pay off for you, we’ll say so.
- One-time setup: about $2,500–$6,500 for website and foundational work.
- Monthly: about $650–$2,500/month for ongoing management (ads, SEO, updates, etc.).

Do you lock people into long contracts? +
No “gotcha” contracts.
We may recommend a minimum initial period (for example, 3–6 months) for certain services like SEO so they have time to work, but we’re not interested in keeping unhappy clients.
Everything is spelled out clearly in writing before you agree.

Is ad spend included in your pricing? +
No. Our fees cover strategy, setup, and management. Your ad spend (money paid directly to Google, Meta, etc.) is separate and always under your control.
We’ll recommend a sensible starting budget for your market and adjust based on performance and your comfort level.

Can you guarantee a certain number of leads or revenue? +
We don’t guarantee specific revenue numbers or lead counts—nobody can honestly do that without controlling your pricing, sales process, and market.
What we do guarantee is:
• Clear tracking and honest reporting.
• A focus on the channels most likely to work for you.
• Transparent conversations about what’s working and what isn’t.

Process & fit
What does working together look like?
Here’s how much time you’ll need, what we need from you, and how the day-to-day partnership works.
How much of my time will this take each month? +
Up front, expect a bit more time so we can learn your business (usually a couple of calls and approving content or designs).
Once things are running, most owners spend about 1–2 hours per month with us: quick check-ins, reviewing results, and approving any bigger changes.

What do you need from me to get started? +
Mainly:
• A clear description of your services and service area.
• Access to existing accounts (website, Google, etc.), if you have them.
• Logos, brand elements, and any photos you already have.
• A bit of your time to answer questions about customers, pricing, and your best jobs.
We handle the tech setup and do as much of the heavy lifting as possible.

What if I already have a website or I’m working with someone else now? +
That’s fine. We can either:
• Improve what you already have, if it’s solid enough to build on, or
• Recommend a fresh build if that will be more cost-effective long term.
If you’re currently working with an agency, we can review what they’re doing and help you decide whether to stay, adjust, or switch.

How often will we meet or hear from you? +
For ongoing work, we typically have a touchpoint at least once a month, plus email as needed.
If you’d like a more hands-on rhythm (like bi-weekly calls), we can build that into your plan as well.

Do you work with businesses outside my city or state? +
Yes. We work with local businesses in different cities and states, as long as your customers are local or regional.
We’ll just spend extra time early on learning your market, competitors, and seasonality.

Tech & AI
How do you use AI and tools without making life harder?
We use AI and simple systems to save you time and improve quality—not to replace judgment or overwhelm you with more software.
How do you use AI in your work with clients? +
We use AI behind the scenes to:
• Draft and refine content faster (then a human edits it).
• Speed up research and idea generation.
• Help build simple follow-up workflows and templates.
A human always reviews what goes out under your name. AI is there to speed things up, not replace judgment or your voice.

Are you going to make me learn a bunch of new tools or logins? +
No. Our goal is to reduce the number of moving parts you have to touch, not increase them.
We’ll set up the tools we need and only loop you into what’s truly necessary (like a simple dashboard or a shared folder for approvals).

Will my marketing sound like it was written by a robot? +
No—that’s exactly what we avoid.
We may use AI to help with drafts or ideas, but everything is edited and tuned so it sounds like a real human who understands your business.
If something ever feels “off” to you, we’ll adjust it until you’re comfortable.

Can you help my team use AI more effectively too? +
Yes. For some clients, part of our work is setting up simple AI workflows and templates for common tasks (like replying to FAQs, summarizing notes, or drafting basic messages), plus light training so your team feels confident using them.
